Tired has been the overall theme of my past few days. Did you know that there are 15 steps from ground level to my apartment? Do you know how many times I have been up and down them since Friday? A LOT! I am thankful that I am "some-what" in shape or else I would be in big trouble. I haven't been sore from lifting or going up and down the stairs like a mad woman. I have come to find out that I have way too much stuff and yet, I still can't part with some of it. I have found numerous boxes that I never even unpacked when I moved here in 2009. Obviously, I haven't needed whatever was in the box and that the reasonable thing to do would be to throw it away or give it away. Not gonna happen, especially since I think most of it is china. I don't play around when it comes to china.
I had some of the best help around "volunteer" (I use that term loosely) to help move my big furniture...heavy doesn't even being to describe this furniture. Not as heavy as some furniture I know, but all furniture is heavy when dealing with stairs!
Also, had I had my head completely in this moving game, I would have rigged up a zip line from the balcony to the back of the vehicle and slide my clothes down it instead of making ump-teen million trips. I do believe that the angle would have been perfect for completing this task. Nothing that a little Rise over Run couldn't handle, right??
Anyway, we are almost finished. Here is a few pics of the progress and once we are completely finished and everything is set up how it should be, I'll post some more pics.

It's Finally Over
Today was the last day of Team Lean 2012. Did I do as well as I had hoped? No. Would I do it again next year? Possibly. I found out that we are no longer on the roster because one member missed two weigh-ins in a row and that causes you to individually be disqualified. Since we only had four to begin with, it caused our team to be booted out. Oh well.
One thing I am happy about is that the YMCA will be back to normal and not ridiculously crowded morning, noon and night! However, it really doesn't matter at this point since the weather is nice in the afternoon so I think I will be spending it more at the park than inside the gym.
This weekend, Ash and I are beginning to paint and starting to move a few things over to our new place! I think that we are both pretty happy! I am looking forward to the following:
-A yard
-A fenced in yard for Bentley
-A garden in my fenced in yard
-A grill to cook some vegetables, from my garden, in my fenced in yard
Spring is my favorite season and I can't wait to have a garden and beautiful flowers in my yard. I had beautiful day lilies when I lived back home on either side of my front steps...I really miss those!
My mom will be here tomorrow and for the next two weekends as well! I am excited since she hasn't been to visit me in almost a year and a half! I think the last time she was here was Fall of 2010!
I will keep you all updated on the move, garden, and Bentley's adjustment to his new domain!

Happy St. Parick's Day!
This weekend, I traveled to Savannah to experience something I have always wanted to experience....St. Patrick's Day in Savannah. Every time I have ventured over there, I hear the people on the guided tours, or on advertisement paraphernalia, talk about this celebration. I had two of my best girl friends from back home join me on this excursion. I think I was really just happy to have two people from home with me! Just seeing people you know gives you a feeling of comfort. Speaking of people from home, we were also able to meet up with a guy we went to school with. I have known him basically my whole life, Brandy met him in 9th grade and Ashley married a guy that went to high school with us, so we all have a little connection!
On Wednesday morning, I heard the Albany news say that Savannah was expecting between 700,000-1,000,000 people. I immediately texted Brandy and told her what I had just heard. We all agreed, we may hate it by Sunday, but we will at least be able to say we've been there and done that! In all reality, it wasn't that bad. I had prepared myself for the worst: annoying drunk people, throw up, shoulder to shoulder people, etc. River Street gradually got worse and we did leave around 3pm to head back to Tybee. We stayed out on the island and took a trolley in to Savannah due to the issue of parking. I really didn't come across anyone that was rude, no one threw up on me (thank God!) and no one was belligerent while we were there. Granted, I am sure that if we stayed till late that night/early morning, our experience would have been completely different!

Wedding Bells are Going to Ring!
I am so thrilled to let you all know that my brother is getting married! He popped the question this past weekend and Elisabeth said yes! I am so excited to have a sister and I am so estatic that my brother is happy!
We have so much to look forward to!
Here is a few more pics...
This is just my "congrats" blog...once I figure out how I want to present the whole proposal, I will repost...it just takes some time getting my words just right!
By the way...I have to look at the Week 8 Team Lean results again. They didn't get the results out until today and I didn't see us. I must investigate further.
Congratulations Elisabeth and Heath! I love you both!

These Boots Are Made For Buying...
This Saturday, during the torrential down pour that we were having, I went with Barb to Tally to our Vegetable Gardening class. Luckily, the weather held off until our class was over. Then, we did what girls to best...SHOP! I have a slight obsession with boots. However, I am pretty tight and so I don't really buy any. However, I found these little babies...
I found these pink ladies at a closeout sale! They were 60% off so I was one happy lady! I was torn between pink and turquoise, so I believe that the choice was made for me. The turquoise boots were retailing at $100 more than what I paid for these! Here is a sneak peak at the next purchase I am eyeing....

Friday Fun
First off, we went down from 66th place to 100th this week. It looks like a lot of the other teams had really good weeks!!
Secondly, I love Tractor Supply Company. I have been in twice this week. I went in earlier for dog food and while I was there I found a plant stand that I absolutely loved! However, it was $15 and since I'm fairly tight with my money and that seemed a lot for just a planter, I thought about it a few days. I went back today and since it was still there, I went ahead a purchased it.
Hopefully, I will find the perfect plant to place within it!

Team Lean-Week 7
Three more weeks to go! I had another successful week so things are good!
Since it was a good week and I didn't have to pay for a weight gain, I stopped by Dunkin' Donuts (which is right by the place I weigh in, nice huh?) and bought myself a coffee. I simply asked for a regular coffee. Now, for me, a regular coffee is black. No cream. No sugar. Just coffee. I also noticed that they had an egg white omelet wrap, so I added that too. I finally get to the window and the lady hands me my bag with my omelet wrap, then my coffee, and that's when I smelt it. Yup, smelt it. I smelt the cream and sugar that was already put into my coffee. That should be outlawed. I handed it back to her and said I had asked for a regular coffee, to which her response was "oh, you just want your coffee black" and of course I said "yes, I want a REGULAR coffee. NO cream and NO sugar. Finally, I am on my way to work and I take a bite of my wrap. Well, it was good for a veggie wrap, but since I ordered it the only other way the egg white omelet comes, with turkey sausage, it was not what I wanted and wasn't happy about it either. Just wasn't my morning. I would say day...but it didn't end there. I decided to go to lunch with my two buds today and I ordered a simple pork wrap (yes, I love a wrap) and clearly said "no beans and no cole slaw. Just a pork wrap" There are only two cole slaws that I will eat, my grandmothers and David's Catfish's back home. I get my food and there wasn't any beans or coleslaw on my plate, good, just like I ordered. Nope, I took a bite and they had put it in with my wrap. The audacity they had to do this! Why would you do this?!? Kim said that I failed to notice that it said "Carolina Style" but I thought I rectified this situation by asking them not to put it on there. Clearly, I was mistaken by my own words. Obviously, these people that work at this restaurant know me better than myself... I proceeded to rip my wrap apart and only ate the pork.
On another note, my self teaching skills of Photoshop CS5 is a slow go, but entertaining nonetheless. I am enjoying learning it and I am looking forward to taking new pictures and playing around with them. I took two quick pics today in my office to play with tonight...
